The addition of a second touch screen to a handheld might have raised eyebrows at the time, but the Nintendo DS has gone down in history as one of Nintendo’s greatest handhelds.
As it turns out, all it took was for developers to get the hang of making games for two screens for the handheld to start receiving some amazing handheld games.
We were sad to see the Gameboy brand name killed off, but the Nintendo DS was a great system that was filled to bursting with inventive games.
Nintendo might have since moved on to supporting the Nintendo 3DS, but with the handheld offering full backwards compatibility with its predecessor you’ve got no excuse for not checking out some of the best games on the Nintendo DS.
