Microsoft has been steadily impressing us with its range of Surface devices, and its latest addition, the Surface Laptop, continues that trend with a sleek and powerful notebook that’s been designed to be a showcase for Windows 10 S.
A few years ago the thought of a Microsoft-made device that’s been designed specifically for a version of Windows would make most people recoil, but there are a number of reasons to be excited by the Surface Laptop.
First of all, with devices such as the Surface Book and Surface Pro, Microsoft has shown that it’s able to produce immaculately-designed premium devices that can give Apple devices a run for their money. Plus, its design of the Xbox One X games console shows that the company knows how to fit powerful components into slim machines using custom designs.
Second, Windows 10, along with the Windows Store-focused Windows 10 S variant, has been critically acclaimed, and most people who use it admit that it’s a big step forward after the divisive Windows 8, privacy concerns aside.
