Just ahead of the PC Gaming Show, Intel held its own press conference and announced that Intel Core X-series processors will be available for preorder starting next week.
Intel’s Core X-series processors, from 4- to 10-core CPUs, will be available for pre-order beginning on June 19 and will ship to consumers the following week.
Intel’s higher-core processors won’t be included in this initial wave of preorders, but the company promises they will follow shortly. The 12-core Intel Core i9-7920X will come first with shipping expected to begin in August. In October, we can expect the Intel Core i9-7940X, Intel Core i9-7960X and 18-core Intel Core i9-7980X Extreme Edition.
Exact pricing information has yet to be announced but we’ll update this post as soon as the information becomes available.
