Beats is known for two things: bass-heavy sounds and lofty price tags, and while it might not always make the most well-rounded headphones, it certainly makes some of the most popular.
[Update For those of you holding out for a bit of a deal on these headphones then you may be in luck, with Beats EP being a prime candidate for price cuts around major sales days.
Although the headphones fell short of a four star review, a lower price point definitely brings them into consideration so don’t discount them as they drop down.]
The Beats EP are something different from the now Apple-owned brand though. Sure, bass is still given preferential treatment, but there’s a more balanced sound to these on-ear offerings.
They’re also impressively priced, with their £89.95 ($99.95, AU$139.95) price tag making them the cheapest on-ear Beats by far, and the company’s first cans to creep under that all important $100 barrier.
